The Seychelles International Festival of Classical Music

Presents its London Promotional/ Charity Concert

       In Partnership with the Lloyd’s Choir

       Venue: St. John’s Smith Square

       Date: Thursday 2nd October 2008 at 7.30pm

The UK Festival Advisory Committee in partnership with the Lloyd’s Choir and the support of Air Seychelles and the Seychelles Tourism Board are organising their first London promotional concert. With the re-scheduling of the 2008 festival due to unforeseen circumstances for 2009 the committee and its supporters felt it would be befitting to organise their first London Promotional Concert for the following reasons.

1. A London event featuring some of our festival programme will raise the professional musicians’ spirit and keep their focus on the 2009 tour.
2. Potentially, this event will raise the profile of the festival internationally. By giving a London audience the opportunity for sampling some of the festival programme, it will activate the recruitment of our 100 choristers and Friends required for this idyllic music holiday.
3. The net profit of this charity concert will go towards the festival organisation’s Music Education Programme at the Seychelles School of Music.

The Seychelles International Festival of Classical Music is a small organisation that is striving for excellence, as well as keeping a dream alive. We have put together a group of dedicated young artists who share this dream with us by giving the best of their talent and energy to keep the festival flame alive.

We trust that you, your family and friends will make a date with us. We can assure you that it will be an excellent evening. Our host and patron, Maurice Loustau-Lalanne, accompanied by our special guest, Claude Morel, the Seychelles High Commission in London will be there to welcome you.
